The altarpiece is St. Francis Borgia in adoration by Pietro Antonio Rotari (17th century).
The church was founded at the beginning of the eighteenth century by the Jesuits. The façade was never finished due to the suppression of the Society of Jesus. During the Second World War it was seriously damaged by aerial bombardments.
The altarpiece "Sant'Emidio protects Rimini" dates back to 1793 and is the work of Giuseppe Soleri Brancaleoni.
